We have set the dates for the 2010 Finals, to be held at Rockin Horse Ranch in Moriarty on May 21, 22 & 23, 2010.  RHR is a wonderful facility and we’re excited to be working with Lonnie & Patti Wright.

We will be having a Planning Meeting on October 24^th, open to the membership.  The driving force behind our association is the members who donate their time and resources to make their district races, and the State Finals, worthwhile for all members.  The time and place will be announced by the end of this month so those that are interested can make plans to attend.

We want to thank the Leo Mitchell family for their generous donation of $500 for Youth Added Money for the 2010 State Finals.  Each year the Mitchell Family produces a barrel race in Grants in honor of Leo Mitchell Jr and their continued participation and support of New Mexico NBHA is awesome.  Those of us who were lucky enough to attend the race this year saw the entire family working to raise scholarship money in Leo’s name, and the winners received handcrafted awards and beautiful saddles they donated.  The Mitchell family is a true asset to New Mexico NBHA.
